Deborah Mayberry has twenty-three years of professional experience in the management and delivery of military human capital programs and quality of life services. Prior to starting the company in 2005, she held senior management positions in commercial and government sectors, including Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters, Marine Corps. Her management experience includes Department of Defense Service-level plans and policy development, strategic analysis and implementation, and business reformation initiatives for military communities. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Master Certified Career Counselor, and Certified Executive Coach. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. As founder and President of The Bowen Group, Deborah provides executive oversight on all company endeavors, sharing her passion, enthusiasm, and expertise with team members and clients. Deborah is a founding member of the Quality of Life Foundation and volunteers her time on the Board of Directors, serving the family caregivers of our nation's most severely wounded service members.
Tom Mayberry joined The Bowen Group in 2008 upon his retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps after twenty years of service. His service took him across the globe from Japan to Iraq, instilling a heightened sensitivity to the needs of those in uniform and their loved ones. Trained in field artillery, Tom also served in Programs and Resources at Headquarters, Marine Corps where he worked on defense planning, programming, and the budgeting system. Tom completed his time in the Marine Corps at the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Staff Training Program, teaching operational planning techniques to high-level staffs. In addition to numerous schools and courses completed during his military service, Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Masters of Business Administration. As owner and Chief Financial Officer of The Bowen Group, Tom ensures programmatic success by supporting daily operations, overseeing cost analysis, managing all fiscal reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with all government regulatory requirements. In his spare time, Tom is a Stafford Sheriff's volunteer with Stafford County Volunteer Ground Search and Rescue.
Anna Jones is a seasoned professional, with over twenty-five years of experience supporting both corporate and government organizations residing within and around military communities. Prior to joining The Bowen Group, Anna held senior management positions in Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters, Marine Corps, implementing policies and procedures Marine Corps-wide, including serving as the Program Manager for Lifelong Learning/Voluntary Education. Additionally, she served as a Chief Financial Officer for Marine Federal Credit Union where she received the designation as a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE). Anna is certified in Myers Briggs and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management/Human Resource Development. As Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, Anna formulates and implements human resources programs and administrative policies for the company, with special focus on employee relations, benefits, compensation, training, and services. Anna brings her expertise, good humor, and excellent capacity for relationship-building to all aspects of the company.
Tom Baker is the Director of Program Operations with corporate responsibilities for managing project execution and developing business project plans as well as oversight of Contracts Administrations. He has extensive experience in managing program costs, schedules, and technical performance of government contracts. In addition to finalizing cost proposals, Mr. Baker is responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities to include coordinating with teaming partners and building relationships with key senior level client contacts. Prior to joining The Bowen Group, Mr. Baker progressed through the ranks in several market segments to include manufacturing, management consulting and supply chain management companies. With his many years of management, contracting, and business development experience, he serves in the Executive position as the Director of Program Operations.
